Categories of breathing abnormalities in Rett syndrome
There are thirteen different types of breathing abnormalities elucidated by the NeuroScope™ and then divided into four major categories. However, two types of rather rare periodic breathings in Rett syndrome known as Cheyne-Stokes and Biot's breathings do not fall under any major category. It requires the NeuroScope™ to elucidate these major categories:
  • The Apneustic Breathers
  • The Forceful Breather
  • Valsalva's type of breathing
  • The Feeble Breathers
